The aim:
Read and review at least 12 debut books releasing in 2013.
My goal:
Read 20 2013 debut books. Since I LOVE this challenge and supporting debut authors and their books, I don’t think I’ll have any trouble reaching my goal. Plus, have you seen all the amazing debuts that are set to release this year? I can’t wait!

The aim:
For this challenge, the idea is to read, review and support Australian female authors.
My goal:
I plan to read 10 and review at least 6 books, which is known as the Franklin level. I love reading and supporting Australian authors so I’m really excited to be joining in the challenge this year.
To read!
My goal:
Read 100 books in 2013. Unfortunately, I didn’t reach my goal in 2012 but here's hoping I have a better run this year!
What challenges have you set yourself for 2013 – bookish or otherwise?
I feel the same way that you do about having more fun reading and not worrying so much about posting reviews. I am also participating in the DAC. There are a lot of books from debut authors that I want to read this year. Good luck with your challenges.
ReplyDeleteGo Rebecca! You can do it! <--- My attempt at a cheer to motivate you. ;)
ReplyDeleteThese sound like awesome challenges! I'm looking forward to your Australian author reviews! I want to read more books written by Australians. Have heard so many good things about different books. :)
We're totally on the same page with blogging this year and focusing on ENJOYING it. The most pressure usually comes from OURSELVES, so I'm trying to teach Brodie how to be slightly less talkative. This will definitely be a challenge of my own... :D
ReplyDeleteI love the look of your challenge!! So many amazing sounding books. I'm ESPECIALLY excited for Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea, Mila 2.0 (have you read the novella? I have it, but haven't had time to read just yet) , Pivot Point and Reboot. I swear, the list of books to anticipate seem to get bigger and better every year!
I think the only goal I've sort of set myself so far is that I'll read more than I did last year, because I epicly failed my challenge number! (and the number I sneakily decreased to make myself feel better :P)
Ooh, good luck with your challenge! Debuts are always super fun to read.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like an AWESOME challenge!! :D Good luck!!
ReplyDeleteOh I agree there are so many awesome debut books out this year, I'm sure you'll fly through that challenge. I've also signed up to the Australia Women Writers Challenge, I honestly can't get enough of my Aussie books, so thought it would be the perfect one to sign up for! Good luck with all your challenges Rebecca! :)
ReplyDeleteYay for challenges! Can't wait to see how you do in 2013 :)
ReplyDeleteI am so happy you're doing the AWW Challenge, Bec!
