Getting To Know You: Books for All Seasons

For this week's Getting To Know You interview, please welcome:
Sam from Books For All Seasons!

How long have you been blogging?
I've been blogging since September 2011. I used to read a lot and wanted to do something more than just reading. Writing book reviews is a great way to share my thoughts.

Why did you decide to create a blog?
Reading has been part of my life, it's like living with the characters while I'm reading the books. It helps me to keep track of books I've and will be reading. I figured if I create a blog, I can post all my book reviews on it. So whenever I want to read them, I know where to go.

How did your blog name originate?
I created the name Books For All Seasons when I thought about how much I love reading. It represents each season I buy, read, and review books. It means books have become part of my life, and I can't live without them.

How did you get into reading? Have you always been a reader?
I got into reading during my final year of college. I majored in English, so I read tons of books. When I was in middle school, I've always gotten into trouble by reading lots and lots of Middle Grade books. One of my teachers was like 'Sam, please put your book away.' I have always been a reader for as long as I can remember.

What was the last book you read that made you feel like shouting from the rooftops because it was that good?
Lock and Key by Sarah Dessen. I always reread it all the time.
Fave Literal Book Crush…
Mia from Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead (surprise right?).
Favourite TV Show(s)…
I don't watch TV. I read and blog everyday. Hehe.
Favorite Authors...
Sarah Dessen, Elizabeth Scott, Alyson Noel, and Richelle Mead.
Hardback or Ebook?
Hardback.

Quote that you live by (or simply like)…
"Things end. People leave. And you know what? Life goes on. Besides, if bad things didn't happen, how would you be able to feel the good ones?" ~Elizabeth Scott
When your not reading, what do you like to do?
When I'm not reading, I blog, go to the bookstore, and visit and comment on other people's blog.

Thank you for having me, Rebecca!
No worries Sam, I hope you enjoyed answering the questions and taking part!

  1. I remember Lock and Key!

I read it from my highschool library, and got it out when it was still new and not yet run down and gross like old library books.

That was a pretty darn good book.
