Bout of Books 7.0 (and goals)!

I’ve always wanted to participate in Bout of Books or even just a read-a-thon so I’m glad to finally be joining in one. I’m so behind in my reading and think this is the perfect opportunity to play catch up and have fun but also without being stressed out. In case you’re not familiar with Bout of Books, here’s the low-down:
Bout of Books
The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda @ On a Book Bender and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal. It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, May 13th and runs through Sunday, May 19th in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure, and the only reading competition is between you and your usual number of books read in a week. There are challenges, giveaways, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional. For all Bout of Books 7.0 information and updates, be sure to visit the Bout of Books blog.
Now that you know all the details, I’d like to present you with my goals and what I plan to read during the read-a-thon. Since I don’t want to put too much strain on myself to read ALL THE BOOKS, I want to keep it pretty simple. The main thing for me is to have fun and that's what I plan to do.

Goals
- Read at least 5 books - Titles TBD
- Participate in 2 challenges
- Participate in 1 Twitter chat
- Chat with other participants & discover new blogs.

  3. Rebecca, love how you've noted your goal. I tend to sometimes forget about having fun and I get discouraged when I don't read as many books as I'd like :( but Bout of Books have been really fun and I like to participate in read-a-thons and challenges because it makes me accountable and more "challenged" LOL

Good Luck with your goals :D

    1. Thanks Angelica but I can't take the credit, I got the layout idea from other Bout of Books participants. Also, I think the new blog design helps, it makes everything look all the more tidier and put together ;D Good luck to you too!

  4. I could not agree more - this is meant to be fun! I sometimes get lost in the MUSTREADCONSTANTANDMOREBOOKS mentality that I forget to enjoy the reads fully. That's why I sort of left this Bout of Books a little more open for myself. My only question here is... what are you reading? I can't help but get curious about the books people are spending the readathon with. : )

    Cheers and good luck!

    1. What am I reading? Well, I finished Spark by Brigid Kemmerer last night and today I plan on reading Easy. I get the curiously thing, I only didn't put down what books I might read because then, even if they weren't final, I might feel obligated to read those books, you know? Good luck with your goals! :)

  5. Yay you're doing great Rebecca! I was a bit thrown by the challenges only lasting 24 hours, I'm sure they used to last the whole week before. I hope you're able to tackle some in the next couple of days! :)
