Prices can be more affordable and you can get it shipped to your door, but… With more and more bookstores struggling to stay open, it’s up to us readers to help keep their doors open and support our local stores.We’re not talking about rooms that are just full of books. 2. So...this is kind of terrible when you don’t have the finances, but boy, will The Bookshop Book give you a case of wanderlust. There are such amazing bookshops mentioned, all around the globe, and reading about them is going to make you want to hop on a plane and go explore! This might sound like a reason to avoid the book, but truthfully, it was just quite lovely to imagine visiting them all one day - yes, a girl can dream. I may or may not be going to use this book like a bucket list!
3. Owning a bookstore is probably never a far thought for book lovers who dream of being surrounded by books all day, but reading this made me so badly want to open my own. It was fun imagining what my fantasty-store would be like… Tea parties, dress up days, author events, bookish inspired cupcake competitions galore!
4. It will make you appreciate the good ole bookstore and all that it offers. There’s nothing like walking into the warmth and comfort of a book shop and being surrounded by books, as far as the eye can see.
5. Simply put, it will remind you of the magic and wonderment that stepping into a bookshop can bring.
So well put, Rebecca! As nice as ordering books online is, it doesn't beat the feeling of walking into a bookstore or buying your books in person (and supporting them at the same time).

ReplyDeleteThat's so precious and beautifully worded. I love bookstores, especially the smaller, non chain bookshops that smell like books, not plastic and paint. You know the ones where you open a book, duck into a little nook and read the first few pages before purchasing. Sadly they seem like a rare breed these days, especially in my area. We have one grossly overpriced chain store bookshop with it's bright lights and not many Aussie YA titles on their shelves either which makes me incredibly sad.
I love pop up bookshops, book buses or anything that brings books to the masses and this sounds like an incredibly lovely read. Brilliant review Bec <3 absolutely loved it.
