Blogspiration (6): Creativity

Blogspiration is a weekly meme hosted by GrowingUp YA & Saz101. The meme was created to help spark inspiration among bloggers, readers & writers alike. An inspirational quote/picture/video is posted weekly, on the day of the author's choosing, so that it may inspire creativity, conversation & just a little SOMETHING.
I stumbled across this last night after the amazing, talented, fabulous, Trish Doller (I like to gush about this lady whenever possible. Her debut, Something Like Normal? INCREDIBLE.) posted it on her tumblr. LOVE.

I procrastinate and I’m sure most of you can relate. Heck, book bloggers are some of the best procrastinators I know. But this image is…PERFECT. If your working toward something and really want to achieve it, you’ll power ahead and just do it. Sometimes it’s hard to know where to start, but start anywhere. As long as you get the ball rolling, it will all work out in the end. Ask for help when you need it; take a break every now and then. Have a go; work hard and give it your best shot.

Whatever it is you’re working on (or not) – writing a novel, perfecting your macaroon recipe, creating the next Mona Lisa – if you want it badly enough, you’ll make time for it (see: authors).

I really love this image. I've saved a copy on my computer because like Sarah said, it's exactly what I need to hear at this very moment!

As they say, Keep Calm and Carry On.

    1. Ha, your not alone. EVERY. SINGLE blogger I know does such a good job at procrastinating. Seriously, it should be our motto.

  4. This is so amazing. I'm trying to kick myself into finishing the 'final' chapter but it's just not working for me. I think I've been through just about every one of these excuses...

    1. It is amazing, isn't it! Good luck with the final chapter and congratulations on writing what you have so far, that itself is an accomplishment, so be sure to acknowledge that. Gather your thoughts, think about why your writing your story in the first place, and just take it from there. I'm sure it will all work out in the end :)
